Honestly - has everyone gone mad?

Okay, this is a real introductory post on my new blog, and those of you who have read my posts before on my Pretty Brother’s blog - http://www.madbull4.net/wordpress/   (sorry, Bro - you know its what I call you :)) will understand that I usually use blogging as a form of cathartic release of my thoughts, analysis, etc….

But today - well, today I had a very LONG day!!!  I worked all day yesterday with some new buyers (I’d planned to take the weekend off, I was EXHAUSTED - but got a great new opportunity to work with some new buyers, and its the nature of my business, we work when business presents itself!!!)

 I had a 7:30 Gym commitment this morning - I overslept a bit - but flew out of bed at 7:10 to catch it and raced to catch up with my Gym Buddy!!!  As I passed my Mother-In-Law on the stairs as I raced out, she said, “Se7en, you ARE Tired - I can see it in your face - why are you going?”

Well, last week was a wacko week and I missed the gym all week - so I recognised the signs - a small break can lead to a major break if you’re not careful - so I RACED to the gym.  Now, though I’m tired, am SUPER-SORE!!!! But, I’m glad I went!!!  :) 

Anyways, after a long work day - and working again with my new buyers this evening, I finally got home at 10pm!!!   So, I determined to spend some time watching TV with Midas - spend some time TOGETHER, you know what I mean - involved in the same thing,  sharing thoughts, reactions, etc…

The problem was - Midas decided to TIVO the new Reality Show, “Victoria Beckham - Coming To America”, which premiered today at some point - to watch with me…

 First off, let me be clear - I HATE Reality Shows - I HATE them!!!  ALL of them!!!  I hate Survivor, I hate The Bachelor - you name it - I hate it!!!  So this selection was already like a “But, WHY???”

 Then, folks, after a long, hard day of REAL LIFE, I sat through this show…  And I gotta tell you - I’m DEPRESSED!!!  Does anyone realize people in this world are STARVING TO DEATH?

People in this world have been shipped from their families to serve in a ridiculous “war against terror” where the husbands/fathers/wives/daughters/brothers/sisters of counteless Americans,Iraqui’s, et al (except anyone with political connections, it seems) are serving - suffering, being injured, being killed - FOR WHAT???

 In my own country, people are suffering - turning to crime because they can find no alternative to feeding their families…

 And you want me to be EXCITED BECAUSE THE BECKHAMS ARE COMING TO AMERICA??????

 Now, if you didn’t see it - (and I hope to GOD you didn’t) you may not understand my sheer DISGUST…  but if you did - you just might grasp why I am so BAFFLED…  Why is this a TV show?  Who the frack CARES???  

 You know, I get home on days like today - worn out, tired, beat up - just wanting to watch mindless drivel-type entertainment - you know - like Frasier, Seinfeld, Saturday Night Live, or movies like Sleepless in Seattle or True Lies - you know - purely for entertainment but with wit, character, etc… 

I will NEVER watch Desperate Housewives or Grey’s Anatomy - am not into pretty people living pretty, unrealistic (I hope) mindless lives!!!  

But this show insulted my very existence!!!!   Honestly - when did the world declare David Beckham the sexiest man alive, and when did a private view of his and Posh Spice’s world become interesting???  The only interesting thing I can think of about them, for God’s sake, is that they willingly sat through an Ali G interview - search for it on myspace - it was -as only Ali G can be - hysterical!!!

 Okay, to be honest, I’m ranting here - -its 1am, I’m OVER-OVER tired, and I just sat through a show that had my jaw dropped more than a Dateline “To Catch A predator”, MSNBC Investigates, or America’s Most Wanted… 

 Because when you consider all the issues we have to face in this world, I know we’re all looking for a little break - but FOR GOD’S SAKE - THE BECKHAMS???  

 Is this the best we can find??? 

 As I said… I’m depressed… 

 BTW Bro - uploading pics, setting up smileys, etc are completely over my head!!!!  Help!!!  I like a simple theme - am a very basic person, so this theme is cool - but need help with uploading of images, etc. Hope to be able to chat with you tomorrow on some of my befuddlements..
