My Top 10
Recently Pastor Brian Vasil of Vasilating posted his top ten movies – that started me thinking of mine!!!
Now, let me just forewarn you – I like an odd mix of genres – I enjoy different movies for different reasons and don’t have one type of favorite. In fact, I tend to classify my favorite movies as the ones I could watch over and over again each time I come across them at whatever stage they’re at!!!
With that disclaimer in place (smile) here they are:
1. The Sound of Music (my all time favorite movie ever)
2. Bambi – the first movie I remember ever going to see with my parents at The Harbour View Drive In in Jamaica!!!
3. To Kill a Mockingbird – also one of my absolute favorite books!!!
4. Shawshank Redemption – don’t ask me why, too many reasons to list - just LOVED it!!!!
5. The Silence of The Lambs
6. Oliver Twist
7. Save The Last Dance
8. Bridget Jones’ Diary
9. City of God
10. Seven Brides for Seven Brothers
I know – its a strange mix… But that’s me – a strange blend of personalities all into one person!!!!

Interesting list!Sound of Music and To Kill A Mocking Bird would also be on my list. What about Casa Blanca and Gone With The Wind? I am surprised that you do not have these two classics on your list. For me, it would be extremely difficult to develop a top ten list, maybe a top fifty would be more to my liking, because there are so many great movies covering a wide genre, which I have seen over the years, that would be excluded in trying to develop a top ten list.RESPECT!
Those two were pretty good too – but I had to do my top 10… I could add more, because I LOVE movies – good ones or even the entertaining ones anyway!!!
Midas often berates a movie because he thinks its nonsense/disappointing – like the latest Indiana Jones or almost every Bond flick with Pierce Brosnan – I argue that they’re intended to be ridiculous and entertaining, get it? He doesn’t agree
Of all those you mentioned, I’ll agree with Oliver Twist. I am not sure I could build a top ten though… that would be SO HARD!!!
C’Mon – you can do it!!! Go for it MB!!!!
